Graeme Payne

Graeme was initially signed on a month’s loan from Dundee Utd in mid-February 1984 by George Fleming. The winger impressed in the five games he played and after returning to Tannadice for two weeks he was signed permanently at the end of March for a fee of £8000. He spent just under a year at Gayfield as a regular in our midfield before being sold to Brechin City almost a year after he permanently joined, Jimmy Bone letting him go to the Glebe Park side in exchange for George Mackie.
