Biography

George played locally for Fairfield and was given an initial trial with us against Dundee A in a Northern League match in mid-December 1907 before being signed just prior to Christmas Day. He became our regular outside left for the rest of that season but was in and out of the team the following campaign. He spent the 1909-10 season with Stenhousemuir while working as a moulder in Falkirk but the following campaign he returned to Gayfield and was selected to play for Forfarshire in autumn 1910.

In following seasons George featured regularly for Arbroath Amateurs, and he also featured against us for Bo'ness in a league fixture when they turned up a man short.
