Biography

Ray came to Gayfield from Dee Club u18s and initially played for our youth team before breaking into the first team and making his first appearance in November 1988. Over the next several seasons, Ray featured irregularly and mainly as a substitute under four different managers, John Young (who was manager when he signed), Ian Gibson, Walter Borthwick and Mickey Lawson. At the end of the 1991-92 season he left the club on a free transfer and he went on to join Deveronvale.
