Craig spent time with St. Johnstone as a youth player before spending time with Dunfermline Athletic, where he was signed from on a free transfer in March 1997 by Tommy Campbell. He was a regular in our front line up for the rest of the 1996-97 campaign before newly appointed manager Dave Baikie sold him to Montrose in early August 1997 alongside Roddy Wylie, in a swap deal which saw Craig Cooper come to Gayfield. After a brief spell with the Gable Endies Craig would spend the majority of his career playing for Fife junior teams, at one point becoming Rosyth Recreation’s record signing.
