George Rowe

Biography

George was signed in July 2000 by manager Dave Baikie, following an eight-year spell with Queen of the South where he also spent time as player-manager. In his first season at Gayfield, the club were promoted from the Second Division with George featuring weekly at the heart of the defence and playing all but three of our league matches. The following year, George only missed five games as he helped the club keep their place in the First Division. He left the club that summer, going on to spend several years with Stirling Albion prior to retiring from playing.
