Paul Tosh

Paul came through Arbroath Lads Club, and he first featured in a friendly against Broughty Athletic in May 1990, signing his first professional deal with the club in July 1991. During the 1991-92 season he began to get game time with the first team, mainly off the bench, before establishing himself as a regular in out front line the following campaign. After impressing numerous scouts and another strong performance in a preseason friendly in July 1993 against Dundee, the Dens Park club signed him for £120,000 early the following month.

‘Tosher’ spent just under four seasons with the Dee before time with Hibs, Partick Thistle and Raith Rovers, from where he was signed on a month’s loan in early 2000 by Dave Baikie. The following summer he signed for Forfar Athletic and he spent nearly six seasons at Station Park before returning to Gayfield on loan in late March 2007 under John McGlashan. At the end of his loan spell, Paul signed for the club on a permanent basis that summer. During the 2007-08 campaign he helped the club win promotion from the Third Division before struggling for game time the following campaign and being allowed to leave the club in January 2009. He went on to play for Cove Rangers, Montrose, Peterhead and Tayport prior to retiring from playing.
