Biography

Hunter was signed from Falkirk in early December 1961, quickly becoming a regular feature in the team for the second half of the 1961-62 campaign, missing just two league games and featuring in a variety of positions in the half back and forward lines. He started the following season playing regularly at right half before dropping out in mid-October and only making five further sporadic appearances for the rest of the campaign. During the 1963-64 season he only made one first team appearance, although he did appear regularly for the reserves, however he managed to regain his first team place at right half in mid-September 1964. He continued to play regularly up until mid-February when he dropped out, making just one further appearance, and he was released at the end of the season.
