Biography

Dave was given an initial trial in a friendly against Newburgh in mid-October 1957 before having a further competitive trial in mid-April 1958 against Cowdenbeath in a Division Two match. Despite scoring a goal in a 3-2 loss to the Central Park men, the centre forward wasn’t signed, and he continued to play with his junior club Carnoustie Panmure.
