Tom McLevy

Tom initially featured as a trialist, playing at left half in a 2-0 win against Ayr Utd in a Division Two game in early December 1955, and his impressive performance saw him signed up after the game. He was a regular in the team for the rest of the 1955-56 season, mainly being used at either left half or at inside left. The following season he competed with Ian MacKenzie for the left half position and with MacKenzie being preferred Tom dropped out of the team for four months of the campaign before the sale of Alex Gray to Cardiff City saw a space at left back open up and he came back into the team for the last 8 games.

He started off the 1957-58 season at left half and he also had a spell at left back before finishing the campaign at right back, where he would continue to feature regularly for the next two campaigns. Despite rarely missing a game, playing over 40 games for three seasons in a row, he was given a free transfer at the end of the 1959-60 campaign, and he would go on to join Brechin City where he spent five years as their regular right back, as well as having a spell captaining the team.
