Alex Gray

Biography

Alex was signed in July 1955; the former Dundee Violet youngster having returned to the country after a year with Burnley in England. In his first season at the club, he managed to establish himself as our regular left back by November and continued in that position for the rest of the campaign. During the 1956-57 season, Alex formed a formidable back partnership with Alec Milne and just prior to the transfer deadline in March 1957 he was sold to Cardiff City alongside his defensive partner for a fee of £5000.
