John Duffy

Biography

John was signed on loan from Celtic in the week prior to the start of the 1953-54 season and he was a regular throughout the campaign, missing just four competitive games. While at Gayfield he was used in almost every outfield position, but most often being used as a left or right back. On his return to Celtic he was given a free transfer, and he went on to spend six years with Southend United.
