Biography
Leslie played as a trialist in a league match against Dunfermline Athletic in early October 1952 while on leave from the RAF. He never signed permanently at Gayfield, choosing to join his brother James – who played for us during the 1945-46 season – at Dunbar United a year after playing for us and from there he was scouted by Southampton, and he made the move south in October 1954.
