Biography

Willie featured as a trialist in a league game against Cowdenbeath in early December 1950, the inside right scoring a goal and impressing enough to be signed up after the game by manager Alec Cheyne. He missed just three games up until the end of the season, appearing as our regular inside right before ending the season with three games as a centre forward. The following campaign he played in the first three games before dropping out and making just three further appearances over the rest of the season, and at the end of it he was given a free transfer and went on to rejoin Coupar Angus.
