John Hamilton

Biography

John was signed in mid July 1949 after his release from Clyde, the right half having spent two seasons with the Shawfield club. He made 16 appearances during his first campaign at the club, before becoming more of a regular feature in his second season due to being used as a left half and a right back as well as in his preferred right half position. He wasn’t offered a new deal at the end of the 1950-51 season, initially being retained before being given a free transfer in late August.
