Biography

Billy was provisionally signed from Aberdeen St. Clements in mid-September 1948, staying with his junior club until being called up in late December, making his debut early the following month in a league game away to Kilmarnock. He made five further appearances before the end of the season, and he spent the following campaign mainly playing with the reserves, adding just four further first team appearances to his name. He was released at the end of the season and would go on to join Elgin City later that summer.
