Billy Steele

Biography

Billy was signed from Cowdenbeath by Ian Stewart in March 1982, the deal seeing Lindsay Kydd and Derek Hyslop move to the Blue Brazil in exchange. He was a regular in our front line throughout Ian Stewart’s time in charge, but the appointment of George Fleming in December 1983 resulted in Billy receiving less game time during the second half of the 1983-84 season and he was given a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
