David Young

Biography

David was signed from Celtic early in the 1980-81 season by Ian Stewart, and the Edinburgh born central defender would go on to spend nearly four full seasons at Gayfield, during which he was almost always our regular number 5 when available. After the appointment of George Fleming in December 1983, David continued as a regular in the team, but he was surprisingly given a free transfer at the end of the 1983-84 season, and he would go on to join Dunfermline Athletic that summer.
