Biography
Murray was signed by Jimmy Bone from Greenock Morton for £600 in early September 1986. He competed with Derek Jackson for the number 1 jersey, initially coming into the team for eight games before losing his place again. He regained the spot in February 1987, but the following month he requested a transfer due to difficulty travelling to training and games due to his job in the Edinburgh prison service and he was sold to Meadowbank Thistle.
