Andrew Adams

Andrew was signed from Rutherglen Glencairn early in the 1935-36 campaign and initially slotted into the centre half position and established himself as our regular choice in that position by the New Year. The following campaign, after Colin McNab retired, he began to feature at right half and from the summer of 1936 until 1939 he was almost an ever present in the team in competitive matches. During this time, he featured for the club in almost every position, playing in goal, at right back, wing back, centre half, outside right, inside right and centre forward.

During WW2 he briefly featured for Nottingham Forest between November 1940 to May 1940 and featured for us during the 1944-45 and 1945-46 seasons when on leave from duties during WW2. At the end of the 1945-46 seasons, he was released by new manager Arch Anderson.
