Timeline
-
Debut - Clyde 1 - 1 Arbroath
Arbroath travelled down to Broadwood hoping to get back to winning ways. With Albion Rovers and Queen’s Park starting to turn up the pressure before they face each other next weekend.
-
First Goal - Berwick Rangers 3 - 1 Arbroath
A superb performance earned Berwick Rangers a deserved 3-1 victory over the SPFL 2 leaders at Shielfield. Yet, when Thomas Grant put the visitors in front in the 63rd minute, home fans could have been forgiven for fearing that, once again, after dominating a match, Rangers would fail to win.
-
Last Goal - Arbroath 5 - 0 Berwick Rangers
To those looking in, this game on paper probably looked like it meant very little, with a play-off spot guaranteed and unless East Fife could win in double digits third place looked set in stone. However, there was so much to play for. The game marked a new era in Arbroath’s history with Todd Lumsden taking his first game in charge after being confirmed as the new manager. It also provided a platform for the players to go into the League One play-off with some confidence and momentum.
-
Last Appearance - Queen's Park 1 - 0 Arbroath
Normally a trip to Hampden in sunny May is associated with the Scottish Cup Final; Arbroath however weren’t playing for the famous trophy, but a chance to get to the final of the league one play-offs.
