Biography

Andy initially played with Arbroath High School F. Ps before joining Ardenlea where his impressive performances caught the eye of Bob McGlashan and after an injury to regular ‘keeper Robert Mitchell, he was given several trial games in March 1929 before signing up at the end of the month and becoming our regular goalkeeper up until the summer of 1930 when he left the club.

After a spell back in the juniors, Andy was re-signed in early December 1930 after an injury to John Kelly and he played 7 further games before dropping out and leaving the club in February 1931 to sign for Montrose.
