Biography

Robert was spotted and signed by Coventry City while he played with Tranent Juniors and after two years down south he returned to Scotland having failed to break through to first team football, Bob McGlashan signing him up ahead of the 1928-29 season. He started the campaign playing regularly but after dropping out midway through October he never returned to the team and around a month after his last appearance he was given a free transfer, going on to join Armadale after which he had brief spells with Carlisle Utd and Grimbsy Town.
