Biography

Tommy was signed in mid-May 1923 from Bowhill Thistle ahead of the 1923-24 season. He started off as our regular inside right for the first few months of the season but began to feature less as the campaign progressed and his last appearance came in early January and after six weeks out the team, he was allowed to leave for Lochgelly Utd in mid-February.

He impressed at Lochgelly and was snapped up by St. Johnstone where he spent two seasons before signing for Blackburn Rovers. While at Blackburn, he won the FA Cup in 1928, scoring in a 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town. He spent 9 years with the Ewood Park side before signing for Exeter City in 1935, followed by a brief spell with Barrow.

In later years he moved to Canada where he passed away in July 1983.
