Arbroath0–0Inverness CT

With the game underway, Adam Mackinnon was first to threaten but it was no test for McAdams in goal. Chances were difficult to come by, but the Smokies had a let off after a McGill pass back saw Alfie Bavidge in on goal after twenty minutes but his effort went wide of the target. Five minutes later Andy Winter had the hosts first moment but his shot was blocked. Danny Devine shot over before a Calum MacLeod cut back saw Bavidge's shot blocked and then Noa Boutin cut one back for Shinnie but the keeper denied him. The visitors enjoyed the bulk of the play but approaching half time the score remained blank.

HALF TIME 0-0

Charlie Dewar came on to replace Scott Stewart at the interval and Shinnie set Boutin in but his effort went just wide at the beginning of the second-half. Ryan Duncan was close to connecting with a ball in from Liam sole and just after an hour Alfie Stewart's free kick from outside the box was saved in the bottom corner by McAdams before liam Sole's header was scrambled onto the post before being cleared. The home keeper was busy again keeping a Morgan Bates header out with Shinnie firing the follow-up over the bar. Ryan Dow curled a late effort just wide as Arbroath looked to snatch all three points. We ended the game with a flourish of corners but our inability to put the ball in the net once again cost us dear with Smokies keeper Aiden McAdams named as MotM.
